Hikmat Hajiyev: Pashinyan’s statement shows Armenia’s disinterest in resolving the conflict

"The Armenian prime minister's statement that the conflict has no diplomatic solution once again demonstrates that Armenia is not interested in the settlement of the conflict through negotiations. With this statement, the Armenian leadership admits that Armenia's goal is to keep Azerbaijani lands under occupation. Thus, it is once again confirmed that the statements of official Yerevan on the peaceful settlement of the conflict are nothing more than a lie."

Report informs Assistant to the President – Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev said commenting on the Armenian prime minister's statement.

"This remark by the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was made immediately after the working visit by foreign ministers of the two countries to Moscow at Russia's initiative and before the meeting at the United States' initiative in Washington at the level of foreign ministers. In recent interviews and statements to international media, President Ilham Aliyev has repeatedly stated Azerbaijan's readiness for negotiations and a diplomatic solution to the conflict. Azerbaijan supports the solution of the conflict through negotiations based on the UN Security Council resolutions, " Hajiyev said.
