Latvian President pays respect to National Leader Heydar AliyevYesterday, the Chinese government announced plans to design new energy vehicles (NEVs) in 2021-2035, Report says, citing Xinhua.
The project announced by the Council of State (Cabinet of Ministers) sets out five strategic goals. These are to increase the ability to create technological innovations, build new industrial enterprises, accelerate industrial integration and development, improve infrastructure, and deepen cooperation.
The special aims are to improve the energy consumption of new passenger electric vehicles to 12 kV / 100 km by 2025 and boost the share of new NEVs in sales to 20%. By 2035, only electric cars will be used in public transport, with purely electric vehicles making up the bulk of NEVs.
China currently accounts for 55% of NEV sales in the world.
