Armenian general committing Khojaly genocide dies

The former deputy of Armenia's National Assembly, ex-chairman of Yerkrapah Volunteers Union, General-Lieutenant Manvel Grigoryan died.

Ex-deputy of Republican party Karen Avagyan told, Report informs, citing Sputnik.

After the beginning of the second Karabakh war, he arrived in Nagorno-Karabakh, but, citing a severe state of health, returned to Armenia. On October 20, the Armenian general was placed in a Yerevan clinic's intensive care unit, where he died.

Manvel Grigoryan was one of the initiators and participants of the Khojaly genocide. Actively participated in the bloody occupation of Azerbaijani lands. In an interview, Grigoryan admitted that he kept one of the hundreds of prisoners captured during the first Karabakh war at home as a slave for four years. Grigoryan's group was particularly cruel towards Azerbaijani civilians in Nagorno-Karabakh.
