WHO recommendation for COVİD-19 vaccination

The World Health Organization (WHO) does not believe that coronavirus vaccination should be mandatory, Report informs, citing the head of the Department of Immunization Kate O'Brien.

"I do not think we should follow the path of compulsory vaccination," she noted.

Earlier, Michael Ryan, director of the World Health Organization's emergency program, made a similar statement.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 67 million coronavirus infections have been recorded worldwide, 46 million people have recovered from the virus, and more than 1.5 million patients died from a dangerous disease.

The coronavirus infection began to spread in December last year in the Chinese city of Wuhan. WHO named the virus COVID-19 on February 11 and declared a pandemic on March 11.
