Ronaldo receives Golden Foot award

Cristiano Ronaldo, the Italian club Juventus football player, was granted the Golden Foot, Report informs, referring to the Turin's official website.

Although the 35-year-old striker's award was announced on December 1, the presentation was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Golden Foot recipients leave footprints on the Champions Promenade in Monte-Carlo. Ronaldo said in a statement that it was an honor for him to receive the prize: "I am pleased that my footprints are next to the footprints of the great champions. I thank everyone who voted for me. I will always try to do my best and score goals."

Golden Foot has been awarded since 2003. The first winner was Roberto Baggio, while Luka Modric won the title in 2019. The Golden Foot is an annual international award presented to professionals aged at least 29 for their success both in team and individual sport.
