Latvian President pays respect to National Leader Heydar AliyevThe Star Refinery, built by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) on the Aliaga Peninsula in the Turkish city of Izmir, has not reduced production.
Petkim Director-General, head of SOCAR Turkey Refinery and Petrochemical Business Unit Anar Mammadov told journalists at an online meeting today, Report quotes.
According to him, during the coronavirus pandemic, the plant changed its production configuration: "The plant preferred to produce diesel fuel. At present, production at full capacity continues at STAR. "
Mammadov also noted that the plant would continue to work in 2021 to create significant value by increasing production capacity.
He noted that Petkim did not suffer from the global coronavirus pandemic raging around the globe in 2020. "On the contrary, this year, the demand for Petkim's products in Turkey has increased. We believe that this high trend will continue in 2021. "
He also stressed that there are no plans to expand the product range next year.
