Japan will ban foreigners from entering the country due to discovering a new form of the coronavirus on Monday (December 28 – Ed.) and will stop issuing new visas to citizens of all nations, Report mentions, referring to TASS.
The bans will remain in force until at least the end of January next year. Only permanent residents with long-term visas and citizens of the country will access Japan.
If people return from countries where a new COVID-19 strain has been identified, they will need to have a negative coronavirus test certificate. The visitors will have to pass one more test at the airport of arrival.
Moreover, under intergovernmental agreements, businessmen from 11 Asian countries and regions, including China, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, and Malaysia, will be able to visit Japan.
