New military unit commissioned on Azerbaijani-Armenian border
Following the glorious victory in the Patriotic War under the command of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the territorial integrity of our state was secured, and the territory of the country, including the state border with the Republic of Armenia, was liberated from occupation. Complex measures are underway in these territories on the head of state's instructions to create the necessary infrastructure for border defense and protection.
The Press Center of the State Border Service (SBS) told Report that on March 12, a new military unit – the border commandant's office – started operating in the Zangilan region on the state border with Armenia.
Speaking at the event, the Deputy Head of the State Border Service, Lieutenant General Ilham Mehdiyev, conveyed to the personnel the congratulations of the Head of the State Border Service, Colonel General Elchin Guliyev, on the start of the new military unit.
