Latvian President pays respect to National Leader Heydar AliyevThe number of Azerbaijani nationals who went abroad in the first two months of 2021 dropped decreased 13.5 times to 60,900, compared to the same period of the last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, 47.3% of the country's citizens visited Turkey, 17.3% – Russia, 10.5% – Georgia, 8.3% – Iran, 16.6% – other countries. Reportedly, 77.7% of them were men, while women accounted for 22.3% only.
Over the past year, the number of Azerbaijani citizens traveling to Iran has decreased 62.4 times, while with Georgia, Russia, and Turkey it was 37.5, 13.5, and 2.8 times.
As many as 30.5% of the Azerbaijani citizens traveled abroad by rail and road transport, 62.2% opted for planes and 7.3% traveled by sea.
