Belarusian-Russian drills study experience of Karabakh war

The First Deputy Commander of the Air Defense Forces of Belarus, Chief of General Staff, Major General Andrey Gurtsevich praised the participants of the joint exercise with Russia on March 16-18 for planning operations and preparing all tasks at the joint headquarters, Report informs, citing Belta News.

"The training involved the 6A working group of the Air Force, the Air Defense Forces of the Western Military District, the Southern Military District, and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. The troops fulfilled the tasks such as relocation of airfields, control of units and military units, the Unified Regional Air Defense System, and air defense during the defense operation on the western border of the alliance state," he said.

The planning explored the experience of military operations in Karabakh and Syria. It is noted that the joint training made it possible to increase the compatibility of the actions of military command and control bodies, military units, and the activeness of senior officials.
