According to customs declarations, Azerbaijan exported 65,640 tons of polyethylene in primary forms in January-June this year.
Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee, that the product's value amounted to $ 75.63 million.
This is 11.5% less and 59.8% more, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
Over the past six months, the share of polyethylene in non-oil exports was 6.5% and during the reporting period it made 0.9% in the country's total exports.
Azerbaijan produces low and high density polyethylene. LDPE is produced at the Ethylene-Polyethylene Plant of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Azerkimya Production Association. HDPE is made at the plant of the same name, SOCAR Polymer LLC, which was commissioned in February last year.
