Latvian President pays respect to National Leader Heydar AliyevIsraeli scientists have created the world's coronavirus vaccine in capsules, The Jerusalem Post reports.
Report informs, citing Russian media, that the drug trials will take place at the Sourasky Medical Center. It will involve 24 volunteers, who were not vaccinated by another jab. According to the edition, half of the group will take one capsule, and the other will get two doses of the drug. The trials will last for six weeks.
According to the general director of the Oramed Pharmaceuticals, Nadav Kidron, this drug has several advantages compared to usual vaccines against coronavirus. The capsule is 'more resistant to various coronavirus strains.' Unlike Moderna and Pfizer, it targets three structural proteins of the virus. Such preparations usually cause fewer adverse effects.
Kidron also added that such a vaccine is easier to supply globally. The general director noted that he would attain the approval of the capsule vaccine in other countries if the trials are successful.
