Latvian President pays respect to National Leader Heydar AliyevAzerbaijani judoka Zaur Jalil has become a winner of the 32nd US Open Judo Championships in Orlando, Florida.
According to Report's local bureau, the US Judo Federation awarded a gold medal and a certificate to the athlete who competed in the weight category of 73 kg among master judokas.
Jalil, who has been awarded about 100 medals and trophies at international games in the United States for many years, told Report that he participated in this competition for the first time:
"The 32nd Open Judo Championships in the United States this year is an international competition involving professional athletes worldwide. Among my opponents were very strong athletes from Japan, Latin America, and the US. I am glad that this time I proudly represented my country. I dedicate all my successes to Azerbaijan. Long live Azerbaijan, long live Karabakh."
Zaur Jalil previously won the US Championship in Reno, Nevada.
