MOH: No serious contraindications after vaccination reported to health facilities

"In the early days, it was complicated to deal with negative thoughts about coronavirus vaccines. Due to the abundance of information, especially inaccurate information, citizens did not know who to trust. Over time, vaccinated individuals have shared their personal experiences with relatives and those around them, and they have found that myths are not valid," said Gunay Guluzadeh, a member of the working group of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

"The main advantage of each vaccine selected by our country was the focus on safety and the formation of sufficient antibodies. We have almost dispelled the myths about the contraindications to vaccination. No serious contraindications have been reported to any health facility since January," she noted.

Guluzadeh stressed the contraindications were specific to each vaccine. This is the body's response to the antibodies produced:

"From a medical point of view, the body should react to the vaccine. Because antibodies are formed there, and immunity is acquired. It is the body's fight against the virus. Doctors advise not to lower the temperature when it rises to a certain level because this is the body's natural response."

She emphasized that when looking at the daily vaccination board, it is possible to observe that there are enough appeals and people can be inoculated without fear:

"Awareness-raising is always important here. Because health workers are more informed than other population groups. The supplied information must be accurate and complete so that the population is guided in the right direction."
