Latvian President pays respect to National Leader Heydar AliyevTwo more Azerbaijani athletes will join the competitions in the Tokyo-2020 Summer Olympic Games today.
Report informs that the last two athletes – Ushangi Kokauri and Irina Kindzerska – will vie for a medal on the next day of the competition.
In the 1/16 final, Kokauri, who competes in the category above 100 kg, will encounter Poland's Maciej Sarnacki, while in the 1/8 final, Kindzerska (+78) will face the winner of the bout between Izayana Marenco (Nicaragua) and Larisa Cerić (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
Boxer Alfonso Dominguez will have his next fight. The athlete, who competes in the weight category of 81 kg, will face Turkey's Bayram Malkan in the quarterfinals. Dominguez will secure at least a bronze medal if he wins. He upset Uzbekistan's Dilshodbek Ruzmetov in the 1/8 final.
