UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan works to establish ties with Taliban

The UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) continues work to establish ties with the leaders of the Taliban movement, Deborah Lyons, Special Representative and Head of the mission, said at a briefing.

Report informs, citing TASS, that, according to Lyons, the mission continues its work to establish relations with the Taliban leaders to continue to provide vitally important services.

She said several leaders of the movement are still in various countries of the world.
