Latvian President pays respect to National Leader Heydar Aliyev
An event was organized in Ankara on the occasion of the return of Turkish peacekeepers evacuated from Afghanistan.
Report informs, citing TRT Haber, that Turkey's National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar spoke at the event.
"Our soldiers have completed their mission in Afghanistan. Twenty thousand of our friends served throughout the mission. Evacuation started earlier than we expected. The air bridge was established between Kabul and Islamabad using eight airplanes deployed in Tajikistan and Pakistan. The personnel and our nationals were evacuated in less than 48 hours. We want everyone to know that we are ready to support the operation of the airport," he said.
