Latvian President pays respect to National Leader Heydar Aliyev
The Verkhovna Rada (Parliament) of Ukraine supported in the first reading the draft law on the voluntary conscription of women, MP from the Holos party Yaroslav Zheleznyak said, Report informs via Ukrainian media.
“Women who have a specialty and/or profession relevant to a corresponding military specialty, defined in the list approved by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and fit for military service in regard to health and age, may, at their own request, be drafted for military service,” says the document.
At the same time, women with a profession related to medical activities must be registered with the military.
The MP also noted that the law will be prepared for the second reading under an abbreviated procedure.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has postponed the registration of women for military until October 1, 2023.
