This is how iPhone 11 will look like

Published

on

We already know 2019 is the year to skip your iPhone upgrade. This is not just because Apple’s 2020 iPhones look incredible, it is because the 2019 models have dropped features and look seriously underwhelming. And this latter point has just been hammered home.

The first case Ghostek has set live for the iPhone 11 is the Atomic Slim3, a heavy-duty aluminium bumper. Moreover, the case images show-off the iPhone 11 design from every angle, highlighting both the new mute switch and controversial ‘stove top’ cameras which protrude to such an extent that Ghostek states it had to raise the bevel of its case’s protection to 2.15mm above the rear chassis.

A delegation of Amadeus, headed by Tomás López Fernebrand, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Amadeus, paid a working visit to Baku. Amadeus is one of the world’s largest providers of IT services in the airline industry and global distribution systems, Report infomrs citing AZAL.

During the visit, an official ceremony of launching new cloud technologies to be applied at the International Airport was held. Baku Airport got the opportunity to manage a new database, resource management and flight information display systems and others.

“We believe that forward thinking airports such as Heydar Aliyev International demonstrate the significant integration, collaboration and mobility benefits the cloud can deliver. Successfully working with Baku to manage both its passenger and operational systems in the cloud is a landmark for Amadeus in the airport industry.” –said Bruno Spada, Executive Vice President Airport IT at Amadeus.

“It should be noted that the Heydar Aliyev International Airport became the first airport in the world, completely switching to cloud technologies”, –stressed Bruno Spada.

After symbolic cutting of the red ribbon the guests got acquainted with the conditions created in the new airport terminal complex (Terminal 1) of Heydar Aliyev International Airport, which received a maximum “5 Stars” rating from the auditing company Skytrax.

The signing ceremony of the agreement on introduction of “Amadeus Altéa PSS” software in “” was also an indicator of effective cooperation between the parties. The document was signed by AZAL President Jahangir Asgarov and General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Amadeus Tomás López Fernebrand.

The new software will allow AZAL to personalize passenger service even more effectively, and will qualitatively improve the functionality of the booking system, inventory database and income management system.

“One of our priority goals is to increase the passenger traffic in the country and modern technologies help us to do this. Partnership with Amadeus will allow us to improve the efficiency of work, and, most importantly, to improve the quality of services provided to AZAL passengers,” – said Jahangir Asgarov.

AZAL denies $1 billion contract with Boeing cancelled

Published

Azerbaijan Airline AZAL stated the contract with Boeing to purchase 10 737 MAX jets has not been cancelled but rather that both companies are working on negotiations.

“The implementation of the signed contract is scheduled for 2019-2024,” AZAL stated on June 3 adding, “contractual payments have already been made. These payments will be considered by Boeing Corporation in 2024.”

AZAL’s statement comes after a Boeing spokeperson told Reuters that the Azerbaijani airline has cancelled the $1 billion contract with Boeing to purchase 10 737 MAX jets.

“AZAL refused to buy 10 aircrafts from Boeing due to safety reasons,” Pasha Kesaminsy was quoted as saying by Reuters on June 3.

According to the report, the airline’s decision follows the fatal crashes involving the Ethiopian aircraft on March 10, which killed 157 people, and the disaster in Indonesian in October 2018, which had 189 casualties.

Economist Toghrul Mashalli says AZAL’s need to buy new aircrafts is related to its policy to expand its transport network.

“More flights mean more new aircrafts. Otherwise the airlines are forced to cancel flights. This is why AZAL’s flights to New York have been suspended," Mashalli told Meydan TV.

AZAL has said its Baku-New York-Baku flight will be suspended in October 2019, as the flight is not profitable.

Calling the flight “ineffective", Mashalli said, “seems like [AZAL] wants to operate more efficiently and therefore they continue cooperating [with Boeing]."

Many countries do not allow Boeing’s 737 MAX jets to use their airports for arrivals or departures.
