Regular tactical and special exercises to combat terrorism were held at special purpose units of the Nakhchivan Special Army.
Report informs, Col-Gen Karam Mustafayev, Commander of the Special Army and representatives of the Turkish Armed Forces observed the military exercises in the exclave.
The focus was on improving the skills of personnel in conducting anti-terrorist operations in buildings, freeing prisoners and hostages.
According to the scenario of the drills, the members of the sabotage group took refuge in an abandoned high-rise building, capturing several civilians.
A group of elite special forces, having landed from helicopters and armored personnel carriers, simultaneously stormed the building. A serviceman, who was wounded during the anti-terrorist operation, received first aid, after which he was evacuated by a helicopter.
Special forces entered the building and neutralized saboteurs and freed hostages.
