The decision to lift weekend restrictions on public transport, including Baku Metro, comes into force in Azerbaijan, Report informs.
The Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers announced the decision on September 24.
According to the decision, from tomorrow (since October 2 falls on a Saturday – ed.) on Saturdays and Sundays, public transport, including the subway, will continue to carry passengers as usual.
Under the decision, except for regular passenger traffic between Baku and Sumgayit, Absheron district, passengers using rail and road transport (except for passenger transport by taxi) from cities and regions of the country are required to be immunized with the first dose of a COVID vaccine from October 1, 2021, and with the second dose from November 1, 2021, or to have an immunity certificate, with the exception of those below 18 years of age.
Earlier, the suspension of public transport and the subway on weekends was extended until 06:00 on November 1.
