Global oil prices on October 8 morning rose by more than 1% on a statement from the US Department of Energy, according to trading data, Report informs referring to Prime agency.
The price of December futures for Brent crude oil rose by 1.12% to $82.87 per barrel, while the price of November futures for WTI oil grew 1.28%, to $79.31 per barrel.
According to ANZ analysts, the oil market on October 8 morning saw a rise in prices by more than 1%, which was facilitated by the statement of the US Department of Energy that the country’s authorities aren’t ready to release their strategic oil reserves.
This has led to the fact that the attention of the markets returned to higher demand in the face of the energy crisis, the experts added.
Oil traders are also awaiting the publication of statistics from oilfield services company Baker Hughes on the number of operating oil rigs in the US for the week.
