In the first nine months of 2021, Russia's Leningrad Region Export Support Center backed regional small and medium-sized enterprises to sign 84 export contracts with 26 countries, including Azerbaijan.
Report quotes, citing the Russian media that the value of the signed contracts amounted to $25.8 million. Some 161 small and medium business entities used the center's services.
Export agreements have been signed with Armenia, Kazakhstan, Italy, Spain, Belarus, Finland, Turkey, Great Britain, the United States, Vietnam, Singapore, Estonia, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Denmark, Switzerland, Serbia, and a number of other countries. The enterprises are in the international market mainly with lumber, agro-industrial complexes, and chemical products.
We should note that in January-September 2021, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia increased by 5.9% to $2.053 billion. Exports to Russia amounted to $613,773,000, while imports amounted to $1.4 billion.
