The EU and the World Bank (WB) have signed an Administrative Agreement on the Azerbaijan Rapid Technical Assistance Facility (AZTAF), Report informs.
The program is funded by the EU and managed by the WB. The total budget of the three-year program is 5.25 million euros.
The purpose of the program is to provide advisory and analytical support to the government of Azerbaijan in accordance with the strategy “Azerbaijan 2030: national priorities for socio-economic development.” This support will help drive economic reforms, strengthen public sector governance and effectively address the impact of COVID-19.
The agreement was signed by WB Country Manager for Azerbaijan Sarah Michael and Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko. First Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev also attended the signing ceremony.
