Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been making active diplomatic efforts since the first days of hostilities in Ukraine to stop the bloodshed, ensure the evacuation of civilians and restore peace in the region.
Report informs citing Anadolu that in recent weeks, the Turkish leader discussed the topic of Ukraine with the leaders of many countries of the world. The Ukrainian issue will also be a priority during the Turkish leader's meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on March 10 in Ankara.
During a working lunch at the Chankaya Palace, Erdogan and Aliyev will also discuss efforts to end the Russian-Ukrainian war. There will be an exchange of views on the impact of the tension on the region.
On Thursday evening (at 06.30 pm Turkish time), Erdogan is scheduled to have a telephone conversation with US President Joe Biden, also dedicated to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
On Friday, March 11, the President of Turkey will attend the Diplomacy Forum in Antalya to discuss the most important regional and global issues on the world agenda.
The main goal of the Turkish leader within the framework of the forum will be efforts to end the war in Ukraine.
The agenda for the next few days also includes a meeting of the Turkish President with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Istanbul and talks with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Ankara.
