At the invitation of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, experts from the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) have arrived in Azerbaijan to discuss the regulation of television and radio broadcasting in border areas, as well as mobile networks under international standards, Report informs, citing Mincom.
The main purpose of the week-long expert mission is to familiarize ITU experts with the interference in the country's broadcasting space and jointly identify solutions, taking into account the existing experience in the world to regulate broadcasting in border areas in accordance with international requirements.
Today, the experts met with Deputy Minister Rovshan Rustamov.
During the visit, ITU experts will hold meetings with specialists of the Ministry, its subordinate bodies, the State Administration of Radio Frequencies, Radio-TV Broadcasting and Satellite Communications Production Association (Teleradio PA), Azercosmos, as well as mobile operators.
