"Armenia used to look down on Azerbaijan. But now they realize their mistake. Certain processes are taking place inside Armenia. We must take them into account and prevent the increase of their existing potential," Farid Shafiyev, Chairman of the Management Board of the Center for International Relations Analysis, said at the training on "Azerbaijan's foreign policy agenda" organized jointly by the (AIR Center) and the Media Development Agency (MEDIA).
He said Azerbaijan had entered a new era: "This is not only about the post-conflict phase. There are fresh challenges."
The head of the center said that the Ukrainian-Russian war affects several points: "The second matter is related to Iran-Azerbaijan relations. Also, Iran-West relations, the situation inside Iran, the negotiations on nuclear weapons, and the situation after the pandemic give rise to new challenges. The Azerbaijan-Armenia peace talks are also one of the main issues."
