LNG terminal brought to full capacity after quake in Türkiye

Türkiye’s publicly-owned floating liquefied natural gas storage and regasification vessel, Ertuğrul Gazi, in Hatay has been brought to full capacity to meet the needs of the disaster area in the country amid potential damage to the gas distribution system in the south and southeast of the country, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.

Residents of the disaster zone receive 28 million cubic meters of gas per day, which made it possible to overcome the critical period against the backdrop of cold weather.

Since commissioning on June 25, 2021, Ertuğrul Gazi has ensured the supply of 3.2 billion cubic meters of blue fuel to the gas distribution system of Türkiye.

During the winter season, the vessel provides 10% of the country’s daily consumption.

The vessel with a capacity of 110 million cubic meters is one of the largest installations in the world in its class.
