The Russian Embassy in Pakistan said Monday that Moscow supports efforts to combat terrorism and urged authorities to bring those responsible for the attack to justice.
In a statement posted on Telegram, the embassy stressed the need “to combat terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.”

“We hope that those responsible for these heinous acts will be identified and brought to justice,” the embassy said, while expressing its “deepest” condolences to the families of those killed.
The statement followed a deadly attack Sunday in Kabal town, where a lone suicide bomber detonated explosives after police officers stopped him as he attempted to enter a police station.
Provincial police chief Zulfikar Hameed told reporters that the blast killed 16 people and injured another 21.
Seven police officers were among those killed in the explosion.
Pakistan’s northwestern and southwestern regions have experienced an increase in militant attacks in recent years.
Islamabad has blamed militants affiliated with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) who are allegedly based in Afghanistan for the violence.
Afghan authorities have rejected the accusation.
The latest bombing comes as Pakistan continues to face security challenges from militant groups operating along and near its borders, with attacks targeting both security personnel and civilians.
