The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Emil Safarov, head of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Estonian side was headed by Margus Särglepp, director general of the Consular Department of Estonia’s Foreign Ministry, Anadolu Agency reported.
Representatives from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Science and Education and State Migration Service also attended the consultations.

The sides reviewed the current state of consular cooperation and discussed its future prospects, including the possibility of signing new bilateral documents in the field.
Particular attention was given to cooperation in providing consular assistance to citizens of Azerbaijan and Estonia. The delegations also exchanged views on existing practices and advanced approaches to the digitalization of consular services.
The consultations also highlighted the importance of further developing bilateral relations in areas including migration, justice, internal affairs, education and social affairs.
The meeting marked the latest step in efforts by Azerbaijan and Estonia to strengthen institutional cooperation across a range of areas of mutual interest.
