During the meeting, Bayramov highlighted the deepening unity among Turkic states based on shared history and cultural ties, stressing the importance of strengthening multilateral cooperation amid evolving global challenges, AZERTAC reported.

The minister also outlined key milestones achieved during Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the OTS following decisions and initiatives adopted at the Gabala Summit.

Bayramov thanked member states for their active participation in events hosted by Azerbaijan during its chairmanship. He highlighted events marking the centenary of the First Turkological Congress, which made a significant contribution to the study of the language, history and cultural heritage of Turkic peoples.
Recent meetings held in Baku, including gatherings of the Secretaries of the Security Councils, the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards and leading national analytical centers, were also cited as examples of the broad scope of cooperation within the organization.
Bayramov emphasized the importance of further strengthening the OTS’s international standing, noting that obtaining observer status for the organization at the UN General Assembly remains a common objective of its member states.
He also stressed the strategic importance of strengthening physical transport links and transit infrastructure across the Turkic world to improve regional connectivity and resilience.
Expanding practical cooperation in areas including trade, energy, information and communications technology, science, technology and culture was also identified as a priority, with the aim of creating more direct opportunities for businesses and people across member states.
Bayramov wished Türkiye success in hosting COP31 in Antalya and the upcoming 13th OTS Summit in Ankara, reaffirming Azerbaijan’s continued support.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of a Statement of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States.
