Azerbaijan’s Economic Council holds meeting
On January 30, Prime Minister Ali Asadov presided over a meeting of Azerbaijan’s Economic Council.
The agenda of the meeting included tasks arising from President Ilham Aliyev’s extensive interview with local TV channels on January 5, the socio-economic development indicators for 2025, and the Action Plan of the Economic Council for 2026, News.Az reports.
It also covered the “Socio-economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026,” the “Report on the results of monitoring and assessment of the First State Program on the Great Return to the liberated territories of Azerbaijan” for 2025, the presentation of the “Working Group on reforms to eliminate obstacles and challenges to entrepreneurship and improve the business environment,” the 2025 Activity Report and the 2025 Action Plan of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication, as well as other related issues.
Reports on the agenda items were presented by Natig Amirov, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Vusal Gasimli, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.
Members of the Economic Council, including Minister of Justice Farid Ahmadov, also delivered remarks on the agenda issues.
In conclusion, the meeting participants adopted the decisions on the issues discussed with instructions given to the relevant bodies.
