Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the operation targeted command-and-control centers, weapons depots and other military facilities in the Al-Tuwal area, as well as missile launch sites at Al-Daghareer camp and several Saudi military camps in Jazan, Anadolu Agency reported.
Saree claimed the attacks directly hit their targets and resulted in hundreds of casualties among Saudi forces as well as Yemeni and Sudanese personnel. He also claimed that several Saudi weapons depots were destroyed or caught fire. The claims have not been independently verified.

The claims came after Saudi Arabia’s Saudi-led coalition said earlier Thursday that it had intercepted and destroyed six ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis toward the kingdom.
Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki said the missiles were targeting the areas of Taif and Yanbu. He did not provide details of any damage or casualties resulting from the interceptions. Reuters also reported that it was not immediately clear whether the missile attacks caused damage or casualties.
Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense said the danger had passed in Mecca, Taif and the northwestern Tabuk region following emergency warnings issued for several areas, including Jeddah and Yanbu.
The latest developments follow a series of Houthi missile and drone attacks targeting Saudi Arabia in recent weeks. On Sept. 19, the group claimed attacks on targets in Riyadh and a Saudi Aramco facility in Yanbu, while Saudi authorities said they had intercepted attacks in several locations.
Tensions between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis have intensified since July after the group announced a maritime blockade targeting Saudi Arabia and subsequently claimed a series of missile and drone operations against Saudi-linked targets.
Saudi Arabia has supported Yemen’s internationally recognized government since 2015 in its conflict with the Houthis, who seized the capital Sanaa and several other areas in 2014. The latest escalation has unfolded alongside broader regional tensions and renewed fighting in Yemen.
