The organization said children and women continue to be among those detained, adding that there has been an “unprecedented expansion in administrative detention without charge or trial,” News.Az reports, citing Al Jazeera.
According to the society, 3,244 Palestinians were being held in administrative detention at the beginning of this month, marking “the highest level recorded in recent years.”

It also said prison conditions have deteriorated significantly, citing what it described as an escalation in torture, starvation, medical neglect, solitary confinement, sexual assault, and the spread of diseases, particularly scabies.
The organization added that at least 1,320 Palestinians from Gaza are being imprisoned and detained under Israel’s designation of “unlawful combatants.”
According to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society, more than 24,600 Palestinians have been arrested in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since the start of Israel’s war in Gaza in October 2023.
