It was between June 24 and July 24 this year that the elephants died for still unclear reasons in Amboseli National Park, Kimana Reserve and the Kuku Ranch area, according to the Kenyan wildlife service, News.Az reports, citing Sweden Herald.

Ten of the elephants showed signs of partial paralysis a few days before they died. The others had already decomposed or had been eaten before they were found, making it difficult to determine the cause of death.
Preliminary tests have detected a potentially toxic substance in several of the affected elephants.
Amboseli National Park, next to snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, is a famous tourist destination with herds of elephants and savannah landscapes.
