Police said demonstrators broke into the ministry late Tuesday and started a fire inside the building. At least 16 people were arrested following the unrest, Al Jazeera reported.
Hundreds of students gathered outside the ministry on Wednesday, throwing rocks at the building and clashing with riot police. Officers used tear gas and water cannons to disperse the crowds, while some demonstrators removed nearby fencing and used it to block the street.

The protesters are demanding improved university conditions and the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. Students have also raised concerns about tuition fees and the lack of support and opportunities for young people.
