According to Report’s correspondent in Fuzuli, competitions in the 200-meter single canoe and kayak events were held on the opening day of the tournament.
Azerbaijani athletes won four medals.
Alimurad Hajizada claimed first place, Nuran Rahimli (both born in 2008/2009) finished second, while Huseyn Samadli (2008/2009) and Elmir Tarverdiyev (2010/2011) secured third-place finishes.
The awards were presented by Youth and Sports Minister Farid Gayibov and President of the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation Vugar Ahmadov.
