The agreement includes a firm order for 12 aircraft, consisting of five Challenger 3500 jets, five Global 5500 jets and two Global 8000 jets, the companies announced on Tuesday, News.Az reports, citing Reuters.
The letter of intent also gives The Helicopter Company the option to purchase an additional 48 aircraft across the same three Bombardier platforms, potentially expanding the fleet to 60 jets.

The Helicopter Company, backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, has been expanding its aviation operations as the kingdom seeks to strengthen its aerospace sector and support broader economic diversification under its Vision 2030 strategy.
For Bombardier, the agreement represents another significant opportunity to strengthen its position in the growing Middle Eastern business aviation market, where demand for long-range corporate aircraft has continued to rise.
The proposed order covers three of Bombardier’s flagship business jet families, ranging from the super-midsize Challenger 3500 to the ultra-long-range Global 8000, the company’s newest flagship aircraft designed for intercontinental travel.
The deal will move forward if the parties finalize a definitive purchase agreement, with the current letter of intent outlining the framework for the planned acquisition.
