The incident occurred on Friday evening in the Mominabad area of Orangi Town while the school was closed. Rescue workers pulled seven people from beneath the rubble and transported the victims to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, according to Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper.
Police said a preliminary investigation indicated that people who regularly gathered near the dilapidated wall may have been attempting to remove steel rods from it, weakening the structure and causing it to collapse.
