The discussion came after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to Mamdani’s recent remarks that he should be arrested if he attends the United Nations General Assembly in New York in September over International Criminal Court arrest warrants, News.Az reports.
Highlighting opposition from some 9/11 families, Doocy said concerns about Mamdani extend beyond his criticism of Israel.

“There are a number of families who regard Mr. Mamdani as an apologist for Islamic terror,” Kilmeade said.
Doocy noted that a Change.org petition urging organizers to bar Mamdani from the anniversary ceremony had grown rapidly.
“Our producers are telling us now 11,000. Wow. 11,000 signatures. That’s significant,” he said.
The petition was launched by relatives of Sept. 11 victims, who argue that the annual memorial is a solemn occasion rather than a political event.
The program also referenced a statement from Giovanni Galanti, whose wife Grace and daughter Catherine died in the attacks, saying Mamdani’s attendance would be “deeply hurtful and inappropriate” because of his public record and perceived associations.
Mamdani’s spokesperson, according to the program, said the mayor would “proudly honor the families, survivors, and first responders” by attending the commemoration and reaffirming that New Yorkers “will never forget” the attacks.
