The train was traveling from the eastern city of Lublin to the northern port city of Szczecin when it struck the truck near the town of Przysucha, around 100 kilometers southeast of Warsaw, at approximately 11:20 a.m., TVP World reported.
Police said the injured included both the train driver and the truck driver. The concrete mixer driver became trapped inside the vehicle but was able to escape with assistance from firefighters, a fire service spokesman told Interia.
“The locomotive is on its side on the opposite track and some of the wagons are also on their side,” the spokesman said.
