“Ukraine has agreed not to hit Russian Energy targets. Russia has agreed to do, likewise!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, Anadolu Agency reported.
The announcement came as global diesel prices continued to rise. Trump attributed the increase primarily to the Russia-Ukraine war, rather than the conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran.

“The World’s Diesel price rise is mostly caused by the Russia/Ukraine War, not Iran,” he added.
The reported agreement has not yet been independently confirmed by both Moscow and Kyiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine was prepared to halt strikes on Russian energy facilities if international partners could secure a genuine Russian commitment to stop retaliatory attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
The development follows continued attacks on energy infrastructure in both countries. Ukraine has targeted Russian oil refineries and other fuel facilities, while Russian strikes have repeatedly damaged Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
The potential truce could help reduce pressure on energy markets and limit further damage to critical infrastructure, although its implementation and duration remain unclear.
