The latest Ukrainian estimates put Russia’s cumulative personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, at approximately 1,565,060, RBC Ukraine reported.

Ukraine’s military also reported the destruction or loss of six aircraft, one tank, three multiple-launch rocket systems, one air defense asset, five pieces of special equipment, six unmanned ground vehicles and four cruise missiles.
The figures were published by Ukraine’s Defense Ministry. They represent Ukrainian estimates and have not been independently verified.
The update comes amid continued fighting along the frontline. Ukraine’s General Staff has rejected Russian claims of advances in parts of the Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has claimed that Russian forces captured 6,500 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory and 310 settlements since the beginning of 2026. Ukrainian sources dispute Moscow’s account of its territorial gains.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Russia had carried out one of its largest attacks on Ukraine’s energy sector, targeting more than 15 critical electricity generation and transmission facilities across several regions.
The reported attacks have added to concerns over the security of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure as the war continues.
