There were 331 people injured in the storms that had winds up to 160 mph late Monday. The Xinhua news agency said the storms destroyed homes, overturned cars and damaged farmland. More than 4,855 houses were damaged in Hubei, a car manufacturing hub.
A man, 30, was sucked from his 12th-floor apartment along with his sofa and cabinets. He is now in intensive care in a hospital, local news reports said, News.Az reports, citing UPI.
