“We’re going to win, as far as I’m concerned, it’s going to be one way or the other,” Trump said. “It’s going to go pretty quickly.”
Trump also said he expected gasoline prices to fall sharply after the United States wins the war.
The remarks came as diplomatic efforts to end the conflict continued. Qatari mediators were expected to hold separate talks with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi in New York and with the US side, an official briefed on the negotiations told Reuters.
The discussions were expected to focus on an amended version of a seven-day proposal presented by Iran on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
