Counter Terrorism Policing said Tuesday that the man was arrested over “activity that took place close to RAF Fairford,” Al Jazeera reported.
Police said the arrest was made on suspicion of “preparation of terrorist acts” and that the investigation remains ongoing.

“This remains a live investigation and our specialist teams continue to pursue multiple lines of enquiry into the circumstances surrounding events near RAF Fairford,” Vicki Evans, senior national coordinator for Counter Terrorism Policing, said.
The latest arrest brings the number of people detained in connection with the incident to seven.
Five British men in their 20s were arrested near the perimeter of RAF Fairford in the early hours of Sept. 27. Police said three vans associated with the group contained gasoline, but no explosives were found.
A 25-year-old British-Iranian man was subsequently arrested in London.
All six of those previously arrested have been released on bail while remaining under investigation.
The incident has drawn increased attention because RAF Fairford has been used as a staging point for US bombers involved in military operations against Iran.
The US moved B-52 and B-1 bombers away from the base on Sunday, although it remains unclear whether the move was directly connected to the arrests.
US President Donald Trump said Monday that the bombers had been relocated because of security threats. He said those behind the threats were believed to be linked to Iran, but did not provide further details.
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham has also said there are “strong indications” of Iranian involvement in the incident, without giving further details.
Iran has denied involvement. Tehran has previously said, however, that it considers military bases used to attack Iranian territory to be legitimate targets.
RAF Fairford is located about 160 kilometers west of London and has hosted US military aircraft involved in operations connected to the conflict with Iran.
The investigation remains ongoing, with British authorities continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident and the potential involvement of those arrested.
