Manchester City announced the extension on Thursday, confirming that Doku has committed his long-term future to the club, Anadolu Agency reported.
The 24-year-old has become an important part of City’s attack since arriving from French side Rennes in 2023. The club praised his pace, close control, dribbling and ability to find the net.

Doku has made 131 appearances for Manchester City and scored 22 goals since joining the club. During that time, he has helped City lift five trophies, including the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup and Community Shield.
Doku said the support he has received from City supporters played a major role in his decision to sign the new contract.
“The City fans are also a huge reason I have signed this new contract. I feel their love and support, and it means the world to me,” he said.
Born in Antwerp, Doku began his senior career with Anderlecht, making his first-team debut at just 16 in 2018. He scored six goals in 37 appearances before moving to Rennes in 2020.
The winger spent three seasons in France, making 92 appearances, scoring 12 goals and registering 10 assists before moving to Manchester City.
Doku has also established himself as a regular for Belgium. He made his senior international debut in 2020 and has since earned 48 caps.
He represented Belgium at Euro 2020 and the 2022 and 2026 World Cups, helping his country reach the quarterfinals at the latest tournament.
With his new contract running until 2031, Doku is set to remain a key part of Manchester City’s plans for years to come.
