British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband raised the issues during a phone call with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, saying London remains committed to open and honest dialogue and a two-state solution, Anadolu Agency reported.
In a post on X, Miliband said he discussed the “sharp escalation of settler violence and settlement expansion” as well as the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza.

“I said Israel must crack down on violence in the West Bank, and must immediately end blockages on aid into Gaza,” Miliband said.
He also outlined other measures Britain believes are necessary, saying Hamas must decommission its weapons and that Israeli forces should withdraw. He called for progress on a 20-point plan aimed at addressing the wider conflict.
Miliband reiterated Britain’s support for a two-state solution involving a safe and secure Israel alongside a Palestinian state.
The British foreign secretary said he and Sa’ar also discussed their “vital shared interest in ensuring that we never see a nuclear Iran.”
The call comes as international pressure continues to mount over the humanitarian situation in Gaza and violence in the West Bank, with Britain pressing Israel to take steps to ease restrictions on aid and address attacks by settlers.
