It’s the latest in dozens of alerts by the US embassy this month – after recent missile and drone attacks allegedly carried out by Yemen’s Houthis targeted airports and infrastructure in the kingdom.
“US citizens should be aware of potential attacks on airports, airspace closures, flight cancellations, and travel disruptions”, the embassy said, while urging “extreme caution” when choosing to use airports in Saudi Arabia.
It also warned citizens not to film or share information related to Saudi interceptions.
“US citizens have been detained for not adhering to these regulations, including taking photos of government buildings, airports, and impact sites,” it said.
