Acting President Delcy Rodriguez oversaw the signing ceremony Saturday at Miraflores Palace, where PDVSA President Hector Obregon and Francisco Javier Rielo, TotalEnergies’ senior vice president for the Americas, signed the agreement, Anadolu Agency reported.
The presidential office did not provide details on the specific projects or investments covered by the agreement.

Rodriguez has previously said Venezuela offers reliable legal conditions for attracting new investment under the country’s Organic Hydrocarbons Law, which was approved earlier this year.
The agreement adds to a series of energy deals between Venezuela and multinational companies under the country’s new government.
The latest agreement comes after the US removed former President Nicolas Maduro from power in January, according to the report, marking a new phase in Venezuela’s efforts to attract international investment into its energy sector.
